Georgina Stegman demonstrates a remarkable 30+year career in the film and media industry, specializing in the distribution marketing of films. As the Director of Think Tank Communications, she has honed her expertise in coordinating strategic publicity, promotions, and marketing campaigns, with a strong emphasis on film distribution. With an impressive portfolio of over 2,000 films, Georgina is an Australian Cinema Pioneer who has  played a pivotal role in the success of numerous success stories  including John Wick Chapter 4, Schindlers List, My Best Friends Wedding, Bird Cage, The Firm, Scent Of A Woman, the Saw Franchise and The Twilight Saga series to name a few.  Her contributions have extended to critically acclaimed Australian classics such as Babe, Lion, Animal Kingdom, Kenny and Ride Like A Girl, as well as project managing the Australian Premieres of Taika Waititi’s New Zealand hit, Hunt For The Wilderpeople and Queensland shot Danger Close.  She spent the early part of her career working for newspapers, before heading up Promotions and Publicity  for United International Pictures. She moved onto State Manager for Columbia TriStar Films until she formed Think Tank Communications where she has held long term representation with Hoyts Distribution now StudioCanal, Icon Film Distribution, Transmission Films, Rialto Distribution, Palace Films, Label Distribution, Magna Pacific, Becker Film Group, Kismet Films and other independent projects.

Within Think Tank, Georgina excels at organizing full-service marketing, promotions, social media engagement, and publicity campaigns. She has expertly managed media junkets, interviews, and high-profile film premieres for notable projects like  Bosch & Rockit, How To Please A Woman, Paddington & Paddington 2, The Kings Speech, Sweet Country, Swingin Safari, Samson & Delilah and the Oscar-winning film 12 Years A Slave, among many others. Her ability to cultivate enduring relationships with the media, coupled with her talent for crafting innovative campaign ideas, ensures that her clients maintain a prominent presence across targeted media platforms. Recently, she showcased her versatility and dedication to the industry by completing unit publicity for Bring Him To Me, starring Sam Neill, Barry Pepper, and Rachel Griffiths. In 2023, she had the fortune of working with Oscar Nominee Lachlan Pendragon on his Oscars campaign for his short film, overseeing and managing his media coverage, as well as event management and PR for the AFI’s Oscars Screening Party. Her fervor for the film industry and unwavering dedication to excellence make her an indispensable force behind some of the most successful ventures in the realm of film and entertainment.

For a period of 18 years, she held the unique position of both being in the distribution  field and exhibition where she managed marketing  for Palace Cinemas Queensland territory incorporating, both the exhibition marketing as well as Film Festival campaigns.

Additionally, Georgina's determination and passion were evident as she spearheaded the successful relaunch of the Brisbane International Film Festival in 2017 after a three-year hiatus. Her unwavering work ethic, creativity, and purposefulness have propelled her into the realm of film production.

Georgina's new company, Two Worlds Productions, aims to bridge the gap between finance and film, with a strong focus on producing meaningful and impactful content. Her first venture, The Aegean, in collaboration with esteemed co-producing colleagues, embodies the teams vision of creating a film that puts entertainment first but with a purpose and educational value. With her unique skill set, Georgina can effectively market both mainstream and crossover arthouse films, successfully reaching targeted grassroots audiences. Her extensive network of industry contacts will undoubtedly provide invaluable guidance to The Aegean throughout its entire production journey, from conception to distribution.

In her role as a creative producer on this project, Georgina leverages her skills in script appraisal, creative contributions, and distribution knowledge, positioning The Aegean for success.
